The main objective of the AL-TRAT R&D project is to promote industrial technological innovation by developing new alternative coatings that provide equivalent performance to the widely used “hard chrome” surface treatment, without relying on hexavalent chromium salts (Cr(VI)) as a source of chromium in the coating process.
